Skyrim no weapon sounds. No Combat Sounds

Hi, I installed Skyrim a few days ago and I am having the problem that when I swing my weapon or pull back and shoot my bow there is no sound. The strange thing is I am playing as a khajiit so I was using my claws and when I swung my arms there was sound, so I quickly swapped back to my weapon and started swinging it and there was the swinging sound for about 30 seconds then it stopped making.

After finishing a STEP install I realized I had no weapon swing/sheathing sounds. After some googling I found that others had fixed this issue by moving Skyrim from an external to internal drive, which was odd to me as my install was already on an internal drive. After further searching it became apparent that the install needs to be not only internal, but specifically on the C: drive.

9/5/ · I was playing the game everything was fine and than i noticed i nor other Npc have sounds. When I shout there is no sound i can only hear the effects of the shout or when i use my weapon but no grunts and stuff when I fight. When I talk to people there are no sounds either I tired many things to fix it and I finally started to have fun with the game and it just killed it instantly.

Thanks for the link. I reinstalled all mods onto the external hard drive and i didnt have to mess with any files, they just worked how they were supposed to. I experienced similar issues with Call of Duty: Ghosts. Posts: 9. Skyrim Sound FX.

Basically - on windows 7 everything worked perfectly. No issues, with surround. With LOTS of mods even. NOW - same computer and everything, just on windows 8. Vanilla. There are no weapon sounds. there’s ambient, music, voice just fine. It’s driving me crazy. I have realtek HD audio, onboard. I'm using an Internal drive.

Missing weapon sounds For some reason my weapons have decided to stop making noises when used. Sometimes i'll get a noise if I'm hitting a melee weapon off of a surface, or if I unsheathe a sword, but when it comes to maces, bows and axes I get no sounds at all.
